I love my work because I love to meet new people. I love taking before and after pictures to show the incredible job we do- it is so rewarding to clean up a mess! We believe that when your car shines, your smile is brighter! I love seeing my clients happy.
I started this business because I felt that I could provide a needed service and to be financially independent at the same time. It’s a win:win!
I grew up in Toronto and have been in the business 23 years. I started detailing cars when I was 14 years old, while most of my friends were working in stores. I loved cars and offered my services for free. People were so happy with the job I was doing, they always tipped me well. I finished University and began working in the corporate world but I felt that something was missing. I went back to my love of cars, built up my business, and haven’t looked back!
My day is long but rewarding. I love trying to take the terrible state a car is in when a client brings it to us and offering them the ultimate experience in car detailing at a price that makes them smile.
Scheduling is a true task, as everything we do is timed. We have clients that book online, drive in and drop in, or people that call to make an appointment. Managing the timeline of work to be done, while maintaining our quality, is where we shine. We have to make sure each client gets the best treatment and leaves in an appropriate time frame.
I attribute my success to hard work and a tough nature. I don’t quit and will do everything it takes until I get the job done right. I was lucky in my first job to have an awesome person coaching me. He has watched over me ever since, and I know he is looking down on me every day with a big smile.
Putting my feet on the ground daily is awesome! I wish we could all do it forever. In business, every day can have ups and downs, but in the end it's all about what tomorrow may bring. My big three values are honesty, integrity and high quality. I try hard to make sure we meet the big three in everything we do.
I am really impressed with the logistical obstacles in the airline industry. I love it! How they can move so many people from one place to another in a very quick way, with all the moving parts. It’s amazing. I like fast and efficient, but in keeping with the quality!
For fun at this stage in my life, I mostly travel. I enjoy hockey and keeping up to date with the news and things that may affect my business.
I would like to raise awareness around mental illnesses, as it hits close to home for so many. I recently lost an employee of 7 years to mental illness. It was a huge loss. We will start a drive campaign in his honor this year.
